Raintree Cafe

Today I visited the Raintree Cafe near Ewha for the first time today. It’s kind of tucked away so it’s a bit hard to find, but it’s really unique and offers delicious drinks.

The cafe is up a pretty narrow and steep staircase, so be careful going up. Inside there are booths available and also floor seating with various cushions and blankets. It’s very cozy. The cafe offers wifi and has outlets in the back if you need to charge a device, so it’s a good place to work on homework.

I ordered an apple cinnamon iced tea that tasted kind of like apple cider. My friend got a latte. The menu offers mostly drinks, but also you can get pancakes. Each item on the menu shows which country the drink came from or was inspired by. My tea was apparently a recipe from Thailand.

The cafe is travel themed so there are lots of maps on the walls and music playing from various countries. There were even photo albums you could look at of different places. The albums near our table were from Hawaii, Thailand, Laos, and India. It was really interesting to see the pictures from different regions.

I liked spending time at this cafe and it also gave me a chance to do some homework before final exams this upcoming week.
